Planning

CHALLENGES

Planning can be a contentious issue and as most of WPARA is in a Conservation Area this poses additional challenges and restrictions.

We are always willing to support residents if issues arise concerning a planning application, but this can sometimes be divisive, and please remember we cannot take sides in disputes.

In situations where planning affects the wider community we are often active behind the scenes.  A good example of this would be the Shooting Club at the top of Warwick Park where TWBC wanted to relocate the club and sell the land for house building. In this case WPARA submitted an objection on behalf of the residents and after many other objections the application was withdrawn.

TWBC have an email alert service for applications in the local area.  You can subscribe here.

There are also plenty of good online articles on how to submit a planning application and we suggest you do some research before getting to the planning stage.  Consulting your neighbours is always a good start and finding out if there have been similar applications in the locality.
